Distribution of stationary to the children of Mingun
In June the new school year begins. Not all children can buy writing materials, notebooks and other school supplies. The Förderverein now has distributed school supplies to 105 children from Mingun, the majority of them are godchildren. Win Aung (our manager), Nan Kham Kyi and Kyaw Kyaw (responsible for the godchildren), Min Min Zaw (“Mister Money”), Mandy Jörschke (she works in the school clinic) and some other volunteers from the ranks of the staff have the organized the distribution. The following is an excerpt from Win Aung’s report on this day in Mingun.
Yesterday, 27th May, our group went to Mingun together with Manday (German doctor).
We have supported stationary to every our god children who are ready for new academic year 2014 because all school will start soon.
We gave writing book + pen + pencil+ ruler + eraser to god children and other students too.
First priority, our god children then we have enough stationary so we also gave other students who are studying at computer house. We gave 105 students on that day.
