We made it! It took about half a year until this great donation finally arrived at Phaung Daw Oo Monastic High School (PDO). It was certainly not a trivial routine matter. On the contrary. Everyone involved worked together in such a way that this complicated task was successfully completed. Thomas Stöcklin was involved as the donor. DHL as a generous and professional carrier. Win Aung pulled the strings in Myanmar. And the Förderverein Help-Myanmar e.V. provided the necessary papers and did the coordination work.
How it all began
Thomas Stöcklin undertakes a private trip to Myanmar in 2018. In Mingun, on the south side of the large pagoda stump, he discovers the sign of the Förderverein Help-Myanmar e.V.: Computer School.
Back home in Switzerland, he is responsible for IT and has the task of replacing computers in a school with new, modern systems. He remembers Mingun.
Finally, the four partners managed to deliver the computers at the end of November 2019. They were eagerly awaited. Just two weeks later, a complete computer class was set up in the PDO.
We do not yet have any information about the delivery of the computers in Mingun. We will certainly be able to report about it shortly.
