The Board of the “Förderverein” has decided to support a music education program at the Phaung Daw Oo Monastic High School ( PDO )
In the period from August 2014 to January 2015, 60 students under the guidance of two music teachers, who could be won by the Guitameit School and the Aden Guitar School, learn and practice playing the guitar. The students come from various orphanages of the PDO.
In the curriculum of the PDO no music lessons are ( not yet) foreseen, although the music has a great tradition in Myanmar.
